Journey
Let’s get there
Bio
Alvaro Krupkin
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and my journey has taken me across continents: from South America to Miami nearly 30 years ago, then to Milan, Italy, and finally back to Miami. Along the way, I’ve shared life’s adventures with my family, finding inspiration in each place we’ve called home. These experiences continue to shape who I am and the art I create today.
Kneading, cooking, studying, shopping, training,
cleansing, sanitizing.
Amidst the pandemic,
these were all at my disposal.
Yet, I chose differently.
I chose
to start.
Starting painting.
In truth,
deep within, I had begun many years ago,
but time had
never allowed it.
As the world paused, I found motion in colors.
Brushes and paint replaced sanitizing sprays, and canvases became my way out. Every stroke felt like reclaiming a piece of myself—parts buried under routines, responsibilities, and the passage of time.
Painting wasn’t just an escape; it was a return.
A rediscovery of something innate, yet long overlooked. I let go of perfection, embraced experimentation, and found freedom in abstraction.
The more I painted, the clearer it became: this was no longer a pastime but a voice.
A way to express, to process, to connect—with myself and with others.
And now, every piece I create holds a fragment of that journey. A memento of resourcefulness, transformation, and the beauty of beginnings.
