Journey
Let’s get there
Bio
Alvaro Krupkin
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and my journey has taken me across continents: from South America to Miami nearly 30 years ago, then to Milan, Italy, and finally back to Miami. Along the way, I’ve shared life’s adventures with my family, finding inspiration in each place we’ve called home. These experiences continue to shape who I am and the art I create today.
Kneading, cooking, studying, shopping, training,
cleansing, sanitizing.
Amidst the pandemic,
these were all at my disposal.
Yet, I chose differently.
I chose
to start.
Starting painting.
In truth,
deep within, I had begun many years ago,
but time had
never allowed it.
As the world paused, I found motion in colors.
Brushes and paint replaced sanitizing sprays, and canvases became my way out. Every stroke felt like reclaiming a piece of myself—parts buried under routines, responsibilities, and the passage of time.
Painting wasn’t just an escape; it was a return.
A rediscovery of something innate, yet long overlooked. I let go of perfection, embraced experimentation, and found freedom in abstraction.
The more I painted, the clearer it became: this was no longer a pastime but a voice.
A way to express, to process, to connect—with myself and with others.
And now, every piece I create holds a fragment of that journey. A memento of resourcefulness, transformation, and the beauty of beginnings.
Exhibitions
Beyond Borders
On May 14, 2026, Beyond Borders opened at Galería Azur, located inside the JW Marriott Marquis Miami in Downtown Miami.
The evening brought together artists, collectors, and guests for a vibrant celebration of contemporary art, conversation, and shared experiences. I was very happy to show my work alongside a remarkable group of artists as part of this international exhibition connecting Miami and New York.
Pulso Argentino
At the Consulate General and Promotion Center of the Argentine Republic in Miami.
The exhibition brings together works by @carlaruiz_art, @romigraziani.art, @virginiacasadopolo, and @krupkin_art, four Argentine artists who, through different artistic languages, offer a plural vision of identity and contemporary creation.
The exhibition can be visited until February 2026, Monday through Friday, during public visiting hours.
Collective Vision: An Exhibition of Diverse Voices.
In North Miami, FL, marked a meaningful step in my artistic journey. It was the first opportunity to share my work outside my studio, to see how each piece could connect and spark conversations. This experience fuels my drive to keep creating and opening spaces where art and people can meet.
