The message behind “Are You Kidding Me?” is both challenge and play. It questions hesitation, leans into impulse, and pushes against limits. It’s about stepping forward, even in uncertainty.
I chose a reclaimed metal panel for its history and its honesty. Reusing materials matters to me, but so does what they carry—marks, imperfections, traces of another life. In that, I find transformation and possibility.
I created this piece with spray paint and rollers, using letter molds and layered patterns to build a surface of bold typography and shifting color—an invitation to be daring, to act on impulse, and to embrace the challenge of going beyond limits.

El mensaje detrás de “Are You Kidding Me?” oscila entre la provocación y el juego. Cuestiona la duda, abraza el impulso y desafía los límites. Habla de animarse a avanzar, incluso en medio de la incertidumbre.
Elegí trabajar sobre un panel de metal recuperado por su historia y su autenticidad. Para mí, reutilizar materiales no es solo una cuestión de sustentabilidad, sino también de valorar lo que traen consigo: marcas, imperfecciones, huellas de otra vida. Ahí es donde encuentro nuevas posibilidades.
Creé esta obra con pintura en aerosol y rodillos, utilizando moldes tipográficos para construir una superficie intensa de colores en movimiento: una invitación a atreverse, a actuar por impulso y a aceptar el desafío de ir más allá de los límites.
